Lisa’s experience includes five years of Pastoral Counseling and nearly six years of clinical counseling in areas of addiction, sexual abuse, sex offenders, various abuse and neglect, depression, anxiety, emotion regulation, spirituality, and sexual identity. Lisa’s love is adventure and wilderness therapy along with a spiritual and existential focus.
Lisa utilizes various approaches in therapy and has extensive training in Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior therapy, Behavior Therapy, Codependency, and Chemical Addictions. As a graduate of Liberty University, she has enjoyed and cherished the training to include spirituality in treating the whole person and above all, respect each and every individual as created in the image of God, one worthy of respect and honor.
Lisa has lived in various states of the great USA, the north and the south. She has recently moved to the Upstate area of South Carolina and currently resides in Pickens County. She is enjoying 23 years of marriage and two teenagers. She enjoys spending time hiking and backpacking, and organizing adventure retreats for men, women, and couples. She, alongside of her husband, directs the Celebrate Recovery Ministry at East Pickens Baptist Church and enjoys watching lives change and heal through the 12-step process.
