Renee Elrod, MA, LPC-A

Hello! My name is Renee Elrod. I am excited to get to know you and walk with you through whatever matters in life that you are grappling with. I am a graduate of Liberty University where I studied Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

During the time I was completing my master’s degree, God blessed me with being a stay-at-home wife and mother. Before that, I was very blessed to have many years in public service. During my time in public service, I completed degrees in emergency medicine and criminal justice/psychology.

My specialty areas of practice include managing anxiety, emotional regulation, developing healthy personal strengths, improving communication practices, and overcoming trauma experiences. Every area of my practice I approach is from a Biblical worldview. I have learned in life, that to be successful, my vertical relationship must be aligned with God before my horizontal relationships can blossom.

I offer in-person counseling as well as online counseling using Spruce, a HIPPA compliant technology allowing the convenience of Telehealth.

When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and close friends. My family and I are very active in our church as well as our community. I have a certified service canine that will be onsite with me at various times. Halli-gan, my service canine, is a Berne-doodle.
